The Beautiful Mill over the River Itchen

10:00am - 12:00 Noon

Coffee mornings have been held almost every Saturday for the past 24 years. They are informal and visitors are free to come and go as they please. There is no charge for refreshments and no preaching or formal address. A major feature is Telit tracts which are free and attractively produced on a number of topical subjects but always with a Biblical message.

Visitors are welcome to seek for help and friendly advice from any of the servers. A wide range of foreign booklets are available since Winchester is a tourist attraction. Many locals who attended Sunday School and Children’s Meetings as far back as World War II, have come in to renew their contact .

The Welcome was involved as a “soup kitchen” and “fire watch post” in early 1940’s and further back in history as “the Soldier’s Welcome” in early years of 1900’s when it served as a place of quiet rest for the soldiers from the Winchester garrison.

Many tourist coaches unload their passengers for a short break and many come in since the bus station is very close.

Come and visit the coffee morning - you can be assured of a Warm Welcome.
